Oatmeal is a meal made of oats. It is normally made for breakfast. Oatmeal can also be steel-cut oats, crushed oats, or rolled oats. Occasionally, brown sugar, honey, jelly, or other items are added to oatmeal. It makes a tasty treat for all to enjoy. It is looked forward to as a light meal.

This dish was traditionally spread in Scotland, Scandinavia and Russia, among the Eastern Slavs, who cooked porridge both on water and milk.[1]
