Omaha—Council Bluffs metropolitan area

The Omaha and Council Bluffs metropolitan area is a very urbanized and double-state region in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa in the Midwestern United States. Omaha, Nebraska operates as the city on which this region is centered.

As of the 2020s, the Omaha metropolitan area has the most people in both Nebraska and Iowa. This region has eight counties: three in Iowa and five in Eastern Nebraska.

Other cities in the area include La Vista, Bellevue and Papillion. Fremont is also often included in these areas.
