Pampore (Urdu: تحصیل پاامپہرع) is a town and a notified area committee in Pulwama District in the disputed occupied territory of Kashmir. It is situated on the eastern side of Jehlum River on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. It was known as Padampur in antiquity. Pampore is about 11 kilometers away from Srinagar city center Lal Chowk. It is world-widely famous for its Saffron, that why it also known as Saffron Town of Kashmir.
