Patricia Routledge

Patricia Routledge (born 17 February 1929) is an English retired character comedy actress and singer. She has received several awards. She received a Tony Award in 1968 and an Olivier Award in 1988, both for Best Actress in a Musical. She played the character Hyacinth Bucket in the British sitcom Keeping Up Appearances. She also performed on stage, including the characters Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream and the title character for Little Mary Sunshine.

Routledge was born in Tranmere, Cheshire, England.
