Rana is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Mo i Rana.
Economy
[change | change source]10% of the employees work in manufacturing; Together with construction workers and those that work in the power industry and the water works, they make up 21% of the work force (as of 2020).[3]
More than 2,800[4] people work (as of 2024) for the different employers at Mo Industrial Park. In 2024, a company switched from making batteries, to putting (foreign) batteries into new configurations;[5] The company has more than 60 employees, before (a round of) layoffs will start.[6]
