Raymond Briggs

Raymond Redvers Briggs CBE (18 January 1934 – 9 August 2022) was a British writer and artist. He is known for his books for children. His books include The Snowman, Fungus the Bogeyman, When the Wind Blows and Father Christmas.

Briggs was born on 18 January 1934 in Wimbledon, Surrey. He died on 9 August 2022 at a hospital in Brighton, East Sussex from pneumonia at the age of 88.[1][2]
