Robert Byron Bird

Robert Byron Bird (February 5, 1924 – November 13, 2020) was an American chemical engineer. He was professor emeritus in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was known for his research in transport phenomena of non-Newtonian fluids.[1] Bird was a recipient of the National Medal of Science in 1987.[2] He was born in Bryan, Texas.
Bird died on November 13, 2020 at the age of 96.[3]
