Rubén Díaz Sr. (born April 22, 1943) is a Puerto Rican politician and an ordained Pentecostal minister. He has represented the 18th Council District in the New York City Council since January 2018.

He is a member of the Democratic Party. Díaz represented the 32nd district in the New York State Senate from 2003 to 2017.

He is a socially conservative Democrat. Díaz is known for his criticisms to abortion[1] and same-sex marriage.[2]
