Ruth Westheimer

Ruth Westheimer (born Karola Ruth Siegel; June 4, 1928), better known as Dr. Ruth, is an American sex therapist, media personality and writer. She is best known for her radio show Sexually Speaking during the 1980s. She worked for Planned Parenthood in the 1950s. She has also written many books.

Westheimer was born in Frankfurt, Germany. She is Jewish and moved to Switzerland as a child. She moved to New York City in 1956.[1]
