Sarah Kemble Knight

Sarah Kemble Knight (1666–1727) was a colonial American businessperson and writer. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She managed the family business after her father's death. She wrote The Journal of Madame Knight while travelling between Boston and NYC on business. The book is valued for its authentic peek at colonial life in 18th-century America.[1]
