Sharon Epperson

Sharon Emily Epperson (born April 12, 1968) is Finance Correspondent for CNBC. She also participate on NBC News shows, Today and NBC Nightly News.[1][2]

Epperson went to Pittsburgh's Taylor Allderdice High School.[3]

Epperson holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and government from Harvard University, a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University, and an honorary doctorate from Carlow University in Pittsburgh.[4][5]

Career[change | change source]

Epperson began working in 1996 with CNBC. She was previously CNBC's senior energy correspondent, stationed at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) covering the commodities markets on a daily basis for eight years. In 2015, Epperson was one of six panelists covering the Republican presidential debate.[6][7]
