Shyamal Chakraborty

Shyamal Chakraborty (1944 – August 6, 2020) was an Indian politician. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2008 to 2014. He was the transport minister of West Bengal from 1982 to 1996. He was also a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from 1981 to 1996.[1][2][3]

Chakraborty died on August 6, 2020 at a hospital in Kolkata from cardiac arrest caused by COVID-19, aged 76.[4]
