Sontirat Sontijirawong

Sontirat Sontijirawong (born March 19, 1960) is a former Thai politician who served as the Minister of Energy in Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's government.[1] He co-founded the Sang Anakot Thai party in January 2022 with Uttama Savanayana.[2]

Sontirat was born in Mueang Kanchanaburi district and holds degrees in Material Science and Business Administration from Chulalongkorn University.[3] He started as a businessman and later became a political advisor, Deputy Minister of Commerce, and then Minister of Commerce. After joining the Palang Pracharath Party, he served as the Minister of Energy until July 2020.
