Sophie, Countess of Wessex (aka Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones; born 20 January 1965) is the wife of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. She assists her husband in his royal duties. She married him in 1999.[2]

Rhys-Jones was born in Oxford and raised in Brenchley, Kent.
