States of Austria (in German). The unlabeled part south of Salzburg, and east of Kärnten is part of Tyrol, and called Osttirol. It was created after Südtirol was given to Italy, after the Frst World War.

The Republic of Austria (German: Republik Österreich) is a federal republic that is divided into nine states (German: Bundesländer):
