Sunset Boulevard is a 1950 movie about a screenwriter (William Holden) accompanying a silent movie actress (Gloria Swanson). It was nominated for eleven Academy Awards and won three. Andrew Lloyd Webber created the musical theater, which starred Patti LuPone, Glenn Close, Betty Buckley and Elaine Paige.
