Susan Kelechi Watson (born November 11, 1981) is an American actress. She is of Jamaican and Nigerian descent. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. Watson is known for her work on the television shows Louie[1] and This Is Us.

Watson was born in Brooklyn on November 11, 1981. Her parents are from Jamaica, and her middle name, "Kelechi," means "Thank God" in Nigerian Igbo. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Howard University and a Master of Fine Arts from the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program.[2][3]
