Talk:Christopher Jones

Jones was not a British Navy officer. He was a "Shipmaster" or "Master of the Ship". I removed the British Navy officer category. There's nothing in this article or the enwiki article or any online sources that indicates he was a British Navy officer. He commanded merchant ships. "Captain" was used at this period for those who commanded military ships. "Captain" only later became a generic term for anyone who controlled/commanded a ship.
