A mystery of the war

The biggest mystery in the story of the first english civil war is the sudden change of attitudes by the people of London.

In the opening stages of the war Matilda is almost ecstatically welcomed into the city by the Londoners. Only hours later she is fleeing for her life.

Whatever the reason for the sudden change, London remained implacably hostile for the rest of the war.AT Kunene (talk) 11:39, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
