Is Potash the same thing as Potasium? I think so, and I think the article should mention the real name rather than (or possibly as well as) the colloqial name. -- Tango 22:40, 15 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Not quite the same, no... Potash is potassium nitrate (KNO3), which is used as a source of soluble potassium. -- Amide one 05:29, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
That sounds about right. In that case, the article should say Potassium, as that is what the plants actually need, yes? -- Tango 13:40, 16 Apr 2004 (UTC)
