Possible Redirection[change source]

Stumbled upon this page after watching a fringe YouTube video that mentioned the "Helm of Darkness" of Hades. I had heard of it before from stuff like Percy Jackson, and I figured it was something made-up so I was shocked to hear it in a relatively accurate video. So I checked this page and the citations, and was genuinely confused that nothing made sense (seemingly tying it's legitimacy to a comedic Aristophanes play that doesn't contain any mention of the Helm),before I saw another page, for Cap of Invisibility, which contains the actual classical source (Psuedo-Apollodorus, Library, Book 1 Chapter 2, found here.

So, what gives, right? This page should likely be a redirect back to the Cap of Invisibility, given that page is much more robust with proper classical sources, allusions, and pop-culture references. I'm assuming, since the last edit was Oct 2022, that this may-as-well-be-a-stub page doesn't see much traffic, but given the popularity of the term "Helm of Darkness" as a Hades-specific attribute, and the Cap of Invisibility being a more Perseus adjacent term (Despite it being the more proper translation of Ἅϊδος κυνέη).

I don't wanna mess around and remove an entire page that, while short, is still a page in it's own right. But I don't see the need for it if there's already a more substantial one with proper citations and information. FenrirSkin (talk) 21:26, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
