Beware citogenesis "average flying speed over moderate distances"[change source]
As part of the July 2020 Big Reference Weenkend, I researched the claim "Their average flying speed over moderate distances is around 48 km/h (30 mph)," questioned on June 2009. I could not find an independent source, so I removed it.
What I did find was several sources that copied the Wikipeida text verbatim, including this one from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Do not re-insert the text unless you can find a source that you are very confident did not just copy Wikipedia. Here is a quick comic about citogenesis and how it happens: XKCD on citogenesis Darkfrog24 (talk) 15:54, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
