Merger[change source]

well i belive that this article isnt long enough for it to be on its own but i do not belive that it should be merged with this article they are a different toppic

I disagree. I think this article could be expanded. It gives ideas on how to go about learning English (different types of lessons, link to British Council etc). I think this is an article that by its very nature ought to be on Simple Wikipedia . I looked at "English language" article on Main Wikipedia and there is no section on Learning English there. I would say it doesn't need one: it's long enough already. The same is true of the Simple Wiki English language (the articles in Simple should be shorter than in main Wiki). The article English language learning and teaching exists on Simple and Main Wiki and deals specifically with exam opportunities, so that can be a self-contained article.

I landed up here in the first place because I was surfing round after finding the page List of hobbies where, under "Languages" there was a red link to Learning foreign languages. I thought this was an article that ought to be written. There isn't one on Main Wiki, but the article that comes closest is called "Language education". If anyone has any suggestions what such an article ought to be called and should contain, I would be glad to hear their views. Hikitsurisan 19:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
