|A fact from Milk appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on 5 May 2010.|
The article contained the following claim:
- "However, some research says that the proteins in milk stop this calcium being useful."
I did not believe the claim at first, but I did some google searches, and found this article which supports the claim. However, the article says that milk is beneficial during childhood, and it is only during adulthood that there is minimized calcium absorbtion due to high protein diets. For this reason, I have edited the claim to specify that it applies to adults but not children. There are also links to other sites on en:Milk -- Jacius 21:02, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
