Hello and thank you for contributing to the Feminism and Folklore Edit-a-Thon 2024! First, I will run the text of this article through my readability gizmo... It's giving me nothing below eighth grade with an average of tenth. I like to see entries have nothing higher than eighth grade with a target of middle schoolers. I will now read the article using my human brain.

First, if this is a translation, then it has to be attributed per WP:TA. This is a longstanding policy here on SEWP.

Second, I'd like to see this use simpler English. "According to some accounts" is unnecessarily poetic and doesn't say which accounts. Consider "Historians say" or some equivalent supported by the sources you've provided. "Mystery disappearance," "jealous disciples," these are all concepts that should be translated into simple English.
