socialism vs. communism[change source]

There is a difference between a socialist society, and a communist society. There is a big difference between a socialized democracy

and communism. There are greater restraints put on the capitalists. For example- there would be landlords owning property and

receiving rents as a profit, but there would be rent controls, and other rules to hold landlords accountable to those who are renting.

In a more pure form of capitalism landlords can increase rents as much as the market will bear, and are not held accountable. In a communist (pure) the state would be the landlord.
