Color or Colour?[change source]

Thanks Pigsonthewing. Per Special:Diff/8477900. I observe you changed color to colour, which is the correct spelling in British English, and on the English Wikipedia totally correct if a Template:Tl useBritish English is in place. But quite frankly I'm newbie on the Simple Wikipedia and simply trying my best to keep to the word list. I observe you've done a good faith import to the English Wikipedia. Please be aware I've had to bend how I've phrased things to meet Simple Wikipedia standards as best I understand them in good faith, but would not have written in that way if i'd been writing for the English Wikipedia. (It's why I used old rather that dried but I've just checked and dry is on the word list so that's a good call. I'd also suggest getting the book mentioned in further reading simply because one of the web references say that is where they've got their information from and you might be able to borrow a copy from a local library ... I would have been forced to get a second hand copy ... and some of the 2nd hand sellers of the 1st edition seem to be double the cost of getting the new edition from the trust! Following research, per MOS:ENGVAR I now see appropriate to use colour and have set Template:Use British English to suit. Thankyou. -- 05:01, 9 October 2022 (UTC) User:Djm-leighpark(a)talk 05:01, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
