@Lee Vilenski: I think it would be better to move this to UK Championship (snooker) here and on enwiki, to avoid confusion with en:UK Championship (golf), and the other entries on en:UK Championships. Kk.urban (talk) 22:26, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We can move it here if you want, but it's been discussed a lot on enwiki, and the consensus is to retain at that name. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 22:33, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely think adding snooker in the title here will be better, but I often see users moving pages here to the enwiki title, and I can't do anything about that. Unless the discussions on enwiki took place somewhere else than en:Talk:UK Championship, I only see you and one other user who showed support for "UK Championship" (and only one user who was opposed). I'm pretty sure there was a second discussion at en:WT:SNOOKER about it, but I don't want to fish through the archives. It's only because it is the en:WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (the golf event surely isn't - it only happened once, against a significant event that took place for the last 50 years - and the other events are almost all non-notable or not called "UK Championship" at all). I'm happy to move it here though, I don't think it really matters.
I'm a little against pointless disambiguation, but I can see why someone would want it. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 22:43, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
