Move request

Hello MathXplore. I see that you have edited the article. Can you please assist by moving the page to Vallahades? I do not see the "Move" tab at the top. Take note that Patriyotlar is not an English name, but how the population is known in Turkish; though, the name Rumyöz is also used sometimes. Hi MathXplore, Vallahades is a Greek term for a group of Greek-speaking Muslims who once lived in the Greek region of Macedonia. Since 1923-24, the group was expelled by greece, and since then has lived in Türkiye. I read several Turkish Articles about the Patriyotlar who came to Türkiye at 1923. This group was from the Citys NASLİÇ, SERFİCE, GREBENE and villages arround it from Macedonia region in Greece. They was Muslims of Bektashi-Order. Also there language is given as Patriyotça not Romeika. The name Patriyot itself is not Turkish, it derives from the Greek word (πατριώτες, patriótes), in English the meaning is Patriots and In Turkish means Vatanseverler. The Orthodox Christians Greek's has given this name to them, because they fight together with the Ottomans against the Greeks at the Balkan Wars 1912-1913. The Patriyotlar in Türkiye are the descendants of ca. 600 Muslim Greek Soldiers. Here please read about the Patriyotlar, its in Turkish language.

The name Rumyöz is also given in other Places in Türkiye, but in East-Thrace (Doğu Trakya) they are called as Patriyotlar.

While in Greece and maybe english the name Vallahades is used, its also important how this group is named in Turkish. So please do not remove the sources in turkish i have given about the Patriyotlar. Thanky.

By the way, why are most turkish names from Article in english wikipedia deleted and replaced with an unofficial greek name? Why do English-speaking people use unofficial Greek names for places and people, living and located in Türkiye? Nalanidil (talk) 14:00, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

The non-official Greek designations in English instead of the official Turkish ones have already led to many discussions? Give me a break Nalanidil (i see you are indefinitely blocked now, since 23 December), you have also acknowledged the fact that Patriyotlar is a name used exclusively in Turkish-language sources, while the English-language sources do in fact use Vallahades or Valaades. However, you don't seem to understand the policy concerning article titles, which is the same as the one used in the regular English Wikipedia; Wikipedia:Article titles. This is an English-language Wikipedia; we ought to be using commonly recognizable names as determined by their prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources. A simple and proper (filter-wise) search for the terms Patriyotlar, Vallahades, and Valaades in Google Search, Google Scholar, Google Books and its affiliated service Google Ngram Viewer (see here), clearly shows that Patriyotlar is not used in English-language sources, while Vallahades or Valaades are. I have no problem with the inclusion of the Turkish variants in the article; my main issue was with the title and the unreliable source that you added, and re-added along with others. As for the rest that you write, it would indeed be useless to expand on; you are veering into a WP:FORUM type of discussion. @Demetrios1993, No any of this User names are sockpuppets from Nalanidil as you and other admins claimed. Other family members are also blocked yet. Why? What you did against our family is very bad. What we have bad done to you all? We didnt know you. The reason is you are greek we are turkish roma.
