Contradiction between Simple English and English Wikipedia

Although the Simple English Wikipedia might not need all the information in the English Wikipedia, this article is directly contradicted in a few points by the Watermill article on the English Wikipedia, for instance in saying that the watermill was invented in China in the third century (where the English Wikipedia says it was invented in the third millennium in the ancient Near East). I'm not prepared to do fact checking to see which is correct, but someone who is prepared to do so should do so.
