This template is used to generate an external link to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) terminal procedures for a specific airport. These URLs change every 28 days, so by using a template they can be updated in one place rather than editing multiple articles.
Parameters[change source]
The template accepts one or two unnamed parameters:
- (required) the airport's FAA location identifier
- (optional) text to replace FAA identifier in displayed link

Technical information[change source]
The terminal procedures are part of the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) which is updated on a 28-day cycle as per the ICAO. For the FAA's Digital Terminal Procedures/Airport Diagram, this causes a change in the URL involving four numbers: the first two represent the year (09 for 2009, 10 for 2010) and the second two represent the current AIRAC cycle (01 through 13). This template should be updated before the effective date for each new cycle. The following is a list of changes required in 2010 and 2011.
AIRAC effective dates for 2011:
- 1101 – effective 13 JAN 2011 to 10 FEB 2011
- 1102 – effective 10 FEB 2011 to 10 MAR 2011
- 1103 – effective 10 MAR 2011 to 07 APR 2011
- 1104 – effective 07 APR 2011 to 05 MAY 2011
- 1105 – effective 05 MAY 2011 to 02 JUN 2011
- 1106 – effective 02 JUN 2011 to 30 JUN 2011
- 1107 – effective 30 JUN 2011 to 28 JUL 2011
- 1108 – effective 28 JUL 2011 to 25 AUG 2011
- 1109 – effective 25 AUG 2011 to 22 SEP 2011
- 1110 – effective 22 SEP 2011 to 20 OCT 2011
- 1111 – effective 20 OCT 2011 to 17 NOV 2011
