Usage

For a given minor-planet number, this template produces an anchored link to the corresponding entry in the Meanings of minor planet names (MoMP). In most cases, a second parameter for the label of the link is useful.

Examples

• {{Minor planet meaning link|22|22 Kalliope}} produces 22 Kalliope
• {{Minor planet meaning link|134340|(134340) Pluto}} produces (134340) Pluto
• {{Minor planet meaning link|484613|meaning of Cerebrito}} produces meaning of Cerebrito

Note: the linked entry is always the top row displayed on the screen, unless the page is already fully scrolled down.

Special cases

If no label (second parameter) is used, the anchored link is displayed instead:

• {{Minor planet meaning link|666}} produces Meanings of minor planet names: 1–1000#666

The given minor-planet number must be a positive integer:

• {{Minor planet meaning link|Sometext}} produces an Error (Template:Script error)

Target page or target entry (anchor) do not exist:

• {{Minor planet meaning link|999000}} produces Meanings of minor planet names: 998001–999000#000 (redlink)
• {{Minor planet meaning link|500123}} produces Meanings of minor planet names: 500001–501000#123 (top of page)
