Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

Usage[change source]

[source recommended]

Purpose[change source]

This template can be used in talk pages to quickly ask an editor to back up their claims. It works basically the same way as {{Citation needed}}, but does not add the talk page to any categories.

The template can help focus long, complicated discussions in which claims without evidence are raised. It serves as a brief reminder that does not add significantly to the length and complexity of the discussion. Addition of such a citation will encourage verification of the claim.

Contraindications[change source]

This template should probably not be used in smaller discussions.

This template should not be added to others' comments, but rather posted after them:
