The Killing of a Sacred Deer is a 2017 thriller and horror movie. The movie was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It tells the story of a surgeon having a familial bond with an evil and sinister teenage boy. The results are disastrous. Lanthimos and Efthymis Filippou won a Best Screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival.

The movie has an 84 out of 100 percent scale rating from the Metacritic, representing high marks.[1] Rotten Tomatoes has rated the movie at 80%, meaning "Fresh".[2]
