Thomas "Tom" Atkins (born November 13, 1935) is an American actor. He is known for playing a sheriff or police officer in horror movies. He starred as Dan Challis in Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982).
Atkins was born on November 13, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[1] He studied at Duquesne University. Atkins was married to Garn Stephens until they divorced. Then he was married to Janice Atkins since 1986. He has one child, Taylor Atkins.
