Thomas William "Tom" Selleck (born January 29, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan) is a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning American actor, screenwriter and film producer, best known for his role on the long-running television show Magnum P.I. and Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby and Three Men and a Little Lady. He has also acted in many movies and had a recurring role as Dr. Richard Burke on Friends, who was a love interest to the character of Monica Geller (Courteney Cox).
