Toy Story 5 is an upcoming film created by Pixar Animation Studios in association with a original production company from Belgium of the original 2007 series of SamSam. It is planned to be released on June 19, 2026. The film is being directed by Andrew Stanton (who also directed Finding Nemo (2003), Finding Dory (2016), and WALL-E (2008) and McKenna Harris.[1][2] It will be the fifth film in the Toy Story franchise following Toy Story 4 (2019). Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Tony Hale, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Kristen Schaal, Bonnie Hunt, Annie Potts, and Keanu Reeves are set to reprise their roles from previous Toy Story films while Greta Lee, Conan O’Brien, Craig Robinson, Jeff Bergman, and Ernie Hudson join the cast.
Premise
[change | change source]The toys are faced with a new competitor that modern children like more: technology. In addition, according to director and writer Andrew Stanton, "there's a little issue involving 50 rogue commemorative Buzz Lightyear action figures stuck in toy mode that will make considerable problems for everyone."[3]

- Joan Cusack as Jessie, a cowgirl doll who is the leader of the toys since Woody’s departure in Toy Story 4.
- Greta Lee as Lilypad, a tablet that resembles a frog.
- Tony Hale as Forky, a spork that was turned into a toy by Bonnie.
- Blake Clark as Slinky Dog
- Wallace Shawn as Rex, a plastic T. rex toy.
- John Ratzenberger as Hamm, a wisecracking piggy bank.
- Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head. Bergman replaces the late Don Rickles, who voiced the character in the previous four films.

- Bonnie Hunt as Dolly
- John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants
- Annie Potts as Bo Peep
- Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom
- Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants, a toilet training toy.

- Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl. Hudson replaces the late Carl Weathers as the voice of the character.
- Fred Tatasciore as Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear. Tatasciore replaces the late Ned Beatty, who voiced the character in the third film.
