Oleksandr Vasylovich Kukurba ( September 18, 1994, p. Verkhniy Verbizh, Kolomiysky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region — 26 липня 2022 [1] ) — Ukrainian military man, major of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war . He studied at the Nizhniy Verbizh comprehensive school (p. Nizhniy Verbizh, Kolomyysky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region).
He completed his military service as the head of intelligence at the headquarters of the 299th tactical aviation brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine [2] .
During the repulse of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he flew 100 sorties, destroyed more than 20 tanks, about 50 combat units of armored vehicles and other means, as well as more than 300 enemy personnel [3] [4] .
Died in battle for Ukraine on July 26, 2022 [5] [6]
July 27-29, 2022 were declared days of mourning for Oleksandr Kukoba in the Nizhniy Verbizh community [7] [8] .
On July 29, 2022, he was buried in his native village [9] .
