Anthony's archives - userpage - talkpage - sandbox

"Archives" are where old or unused comments are put, so they don't take up room on the main talk page when they are not needed. This doesn't mean that the conversation is over - in fact, you can start it back up again so long as you follow these rules:

Copy and Paste over - find the conversation on this page you want to bring back to the talk page; edit the section ("edit" button at the →); click in the box and press CTRL+A and then CTRL+C
Post to the current talkpage - open up the current talk page by clicking this link; press the "+" button at the very top; click in the big box and press CTRL+V; type a good header and edit summary, and save.

Don't forget to sign your messages with "~~~~"!

Sub-pages[change | change source]

No, I was just asking, because I saw most of your edits were to your userspace. I've been hanging out at Simple lately when I'm bored of doing admin chores at the English Wikipedia. I noticed that people aren't that hardcore about the project, and I haven't seen people with complex userpage designs, or sub-pages for essays and such. Nishkid64 23:44, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

So - forgive me if this is wrong - it was a compliment? Thanks! Yes - I'm just getting my userspace up and running, rather than having it rubbish for ages before deciding to (I quote one of my old Scottish phrases here) get my arse into gear and make it nice, like at my wikipedia english userpage.
See you around!
Kind regards,
Anthonycfc [TC] 00:11, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Heh, okay. And yes, it was a compliment. =) Nishkid64 00:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Err... J Di 17:29, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

I suppose you are talking about the username? Anthonycfc [TC] 17:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
I was going to report it, but it's already autoblocked (see Special:Ipblocklist. Anthonycfc [TC] 17:45, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Greetings from the frozen North![change | change source]

(Although Glasgow is further north than Eastern Ontario where I live, but it's definitely brass monkey weather here tonight!) I see that you are making yourself busy (and useful). I read your user page with interest. What do you understand by the word "condone"? :-) Sue W 00:40, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Its quite warm in Glasgow tonight - that's Global Warming for you :) Thank you so much for brining that to my attention; I meant to say "hates, dislikes, disapproves of, etc.." - I just got my english mixed up. Just to clarify, I do not hold any hatred or negative feelings towards same-sex marriages/relationships, and furthermore I approve of them, and feel perfectly comfortable with the concept of them. That's the "I use v. good English" box at top gone then :P Cheers, Anthonycfc [TC] 00:51, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

No problem, thanks for fixing it! You have another "condone" in the next paragraph about roads etc. You could use "condemn" if that's what you want. "Cheers?" - surely the pubs in Glasgow must be shut by now! :-) Sue W 00:56, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

You only said you were a good speaker, so that's OK! Sue W 00:57, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

I am actually a good speaker...it's just I'm sleepy :P and cheers is used in the context of "thank you" rather than "here's to our fifteenth glass of beer" :) Anthonycfc [TC] 01:22, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
