These days’ people wear things like jeans and a t-shirt or a shirt or normal trousers and shoes and socks or sandals. But if we go back in time people wore VERY different clothes. In Tudor Times things for clothing were very different. King Henry VIII wore lots of jewellery and a diamond the size of a walnut! He wore gold and a hat and wore very baggy clothes to make him look important (it was to show he had lots of money and could afford lots of Clothing). He cut holes on his top and pulled the shirt (the bit inside his top) out and then on the next hole he didn’t pull the shirt out, this made a pattern.

Queen Elizabeth I put talcum powder on her face so you couldn’t see the scars on her face, as you could imagine her face looked very white. Like King Henry VIII Queen Elizabeth wore very baggy clothes.

There were lots of Tutor laws is well! You were forbidden to where purple silver or gold, you had to where woolly hats on Sundays, you were not allowed to wear cloaks, and you were not allowed to wear hats. Thank you for reading By Sonny Walton.
