My Topics of Expertise and My Writing Style[change | change source]

I tend to write concise and competent articles in an easily comprehended manner of reasonable clarity. My articles are compact, given the nature of the topics I often write about. That is the concise part.

I went over the list of basic needed articles (and article types to avoid). My background is in psychiatry, psychology, human physiology, pharmacology, sociology and education. When I dropped into Psychology, I was surprised to see Freud, the first psychiatrist, credited with being a psychologist. So then I followed a link to a list of psychologists and discovered a short mix of psychiatrists and psychologists. Immediately I "found my niche". I am going to start with "Psychiatry" and expand into the linked topics that will flesh out a solid grounding of the basic concepts.

I am a reasonably skilled writer and editor, but this will be a wonderful challenge to me. It delights me to be helping this encyclopedia grow, seeing it is so needed by all the peoples around the globe whose first language is not English. Those who are TEFL and TESL certified will find this a wonderful resource for their students.

Regular Wiki has a reputation of a steadily growing body of very good, even excellent articles, and I hope that this encyclopedia will one day be the same. I am Kiwi 05:33, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
