From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am a Campus Ambassador for Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis for the fall 2011 term. Specifically, I am working with students in Adrienne Wadeitz' course on children's literature. Most of the work for that course is going to be posted on here at the Simple English Wikipedia.

Whether or not you are in this course, you may request my assistance with editing Wikipedia: I have been here since 2003/2004 and I have had several tutoring and education jobs in the past, so I should be able to assist you with any questions you have or at least direct you to an appropriate resource. You may use the following methods to contact me and work through any issues that you experience:

  • My talk page – Post here and I will see it whenever I bring up a page on Wikipedia. I check this several times a day. I will also receive an e-mail alerting me to any posts on this or the Simple English Wikipedias.
  • E-mail – This is a form to send an e-mail to my personal e-mail account (justinkoavf@gmail.com.) I also check this continually throughout the day.
  • Instant messaging and Skype – I have an account through Google Talk (justinkoavf) and Skype (justin.anthony.knapp) which can be used for instant messaging; the latter also allows me to make calls or video conferencing through Internet telephony. I usually don't pay attention to these services, but if you contact me some other way to set up a messaging or Skype session, I will be happy to use these methods to assist you.
  • Phone call/text – I have made available my personal phone number—+1 (317) 660‒1236. Please use discretion if you decide to call me and note that I work nights and stay up late. Consequently, a good time to call probably won't be the same as your schedule. You may text me anytime.
  • Personal tutoring and office hours – I will also keep "floating" office hours at IUPUI to work with students face-to-face. Since I do not have an actual office on the campus, it's not possible for me to have my door open at any particular time—students will have to arrange meetings using some other method and I will meet as our individual schedules allow.

Note that I also work and attend university, so I am not on-call at all times, but I will make every effort to be available to assist you. Have fun and be bold!
