Paul McGuigan (born 9 May 1971) is a retired English musician. He was the bassist and co-founder of the British rock band Oasis.

McGuigan first started a band called The Rain in the late 1980s with Paul Arthurs on guitar, Chris Hutton on lead vocals, and Tony McCarroll on drums. Hutton was fired and later replaced by McGuigan's school friend, Liam Gallagher. Liam's brother Noel joined as a guitarist and became the main songwriter. They would change their name to Oasis afterward.

In 1999, McGuigan left Oasis, with Andy Bell replacing him as bassist. Despite claiming that he quit by fax and avoided the band's calls in the weeks after, Noel said he does not hold any grudges.[1] Since then, McGuigan has occasionally performed as a DJ.

Paul McGuigan does not appear in the 2004 Definitely Maybe DVD. A polite letter explaining his reasons is a hidden extra on the DVD. There is also a short segment of pundits giving their views on him.[2] Archive footage of Paul was used for the 2016 Oasis: Supersonic documentary.
