February 2022[change source]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make changes here. But pages should not be moved, like you did to Tumor, without a good reason. They need to have a name that is accurate and simple, and that people will recognize. Wikipedia has some guidelines to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if users are talking about moving a page, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you have a question about this, please ask on Simple talk. Thank you. --*Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page ♮ 03:21, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fehufanga: On a different note, enwiki has tumour as a redirect and neoplasm as the actual page while we have it the other way around. Any reason for this? MrMeAndMrMeLet's talk 03:23, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- @MrMeAndMrMe: More familiar term perhaps? Several other wikis have it as "Tumor" or a variant thereof. Also just a note, pings don't work if you already signed your message, you need to sign your message again to get it to notify other people. --*Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page ♮ 03:27, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Fehufanga Perhaps using the name Tumor and its definition on the Simple Wiki is a little misleading. Neoplasm refers to the general abnormal growth of lots of cells while tumor is the subset in which it is a large mass, according to multiple references. When the simple wiki page says that "another name for tumor is neoplasm", I would suggest that this, strictly, isn't true. MrMeAndMrMeLet's talk 03:32, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- @MrMeAndMrMe: removed it from the article. --*Fehufangą ♮ ✉ Talk page ♮ 03:44, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! Neoplasm could still be mentioned and put as the main with tumor being a redirect MrMeAndMrMeLet's talk 03:49, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account so you won't get notices that are not for you.
This is the discussion page for a person who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. An IP address can be shared by many people. If you feel that things said here are not about you, you can create an account or log in to stop it happening again. |
