Hello, Anantashakti, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope you will be happy helping here. You should begin by reading these pages: Wikipedia:Useful, Help:Contents, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and how to write Simple English articles. If you want some ideas of which pages to work on, read Wikipedia:Requested articles or the list of wanted pages.

Even though it is a good idea to research an article (like looking at the discussion page) before making large changes, please be bold and try! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. We are also working most on core articles and the most common topics until this Wikipedia grows.

If you want to ask a question or talk with other members, you can visit our version of the "village pump" at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Administrators on Wikipedia can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. You should always sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! --Eptalon 20:34, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects for alternative names[change source]

Hello, when you edit a page of a person (or thing) that has several names, it is usually a good idea to ceate REDIRECTs for the other names of that person or thing. In your case, I redirected Gurudeva to the page you created. --Eptalon 20:34, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Eptalon, what a nice welcome, thank you. Thank you also for redirecting Gurudeva to the page I created. Not sure whether this is entirely correct, since Gurudeva is an affectionate name also adopted by other Hindu leaders [1]. While I'm comfortable with leaving things as they are for now, others may argue this issue.
Will certainly ask for your help in the future. I also very much appreciate your comments on my articles/edits, since I'm still learning about this wonderful resource. Anantashakti 00:44, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I do not know much about Hinduism, I must leave that up to you. However, at the moment, the only Gurudeva we seem to have is the one page you created. When there are more aricles on people who are referrred to as Gurudeva are in this Wikipedia, the Gurudeva page can be changed to a disambiguation page. Then it will list all the Gurudevas we have, and the user needs to click on the one they actually were looking for. --Eptalon 09:00, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You should take care of interwikis[change source]

On this edit, you have simplified the text very well, but mistakenly you have removed the interwiki and the category code. Please be careful about them. - Huji reply 21:27, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
