@Lights and freedom please check that neutron is neutral , so it is composed of two up quarks and two down quarks, information provided by you is of proton, because proton have +1 charge so proton instead of neutron is made of two up quarks and one down quark, your information is slightly wrong. Harsh Kumar.s (talk) 07:22, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, quarks do not have +1 / -1 charge. An up quark has +2/3, and a down quark has -1/3. So a proton has two up quarks and one down quark (2/3 + 2/3 - 1/3 = 1), while a neutron has two down quarks and one up quark (2/3 - 1/3 - 1/3 = 0). Another interesting thing is that all quarks have a color: red green or blue, which is unrelated to the flavor (up or down). For more information, read the article Quark. @Lights and freedom ooooh yess, sorry for inconvinience my mistake, i got confused by the charge of up quarks, thanks for correcting. Harsh Kumar.s (talk) 09:45, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
