The Volkswagen Arena is a sports building in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is an all seater stadium that can seat 30,000 people. The stadium is named for the German automobile company Volkswagen. The company is also the owner of the club VfL Wolfsburg. They play their home matches at this stadium.[1] During UEFA competitions, a stadium cannot be named after a sponsor [2] Because of this, the stadium is called the VfL Wolfsburg Arena during UEFA competitions.

The stadium was opened in 2002. It cost € 53,000,000 to build.[3][4]
