Walter Mafli (May 10, 1915 – December 11, 2017) was a Swiss painter.[1][2] He was born in Rebstein, Canton of St. Gallen. He was known for his work Le chant de la matière (1985) which hangs in Lausanne. In 2010, Mafli was accused of tax fraud. He was the student of well known French painters Casimir Reymond and Marcel Poncet.

Mafli died on December 11, 2017 in Lutry, Vaud at the age of 102.[3]
