Wayne James Bennett AM (born 1 January 1950) is an Australian professional rugby league coach and former player. He is the head coach of the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the National Rugby League (NRL). He has also coached the Canberra Raiders, Brisbane Broncos, St. George Illawarra Dragons and Newcastle Knights.

Bennett is also the former head coach of Australia, England and Great Britain, as well as assistant coach of New Zealand, at international level.

Bennett was born in Allora, Queensland. His brother, Bob Bennett, is also a rugby league player and coach.[1]
