Ween is an American rock band. It was made in New Hope, Pennsylvania in 1984. Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo (also known as Gene Ween and Dean Ween) made the band. The band is known for making many different types of rock music. They have been inspired by funk, country, gospel, punk rock, progressive rock, and other types of music. Ween has a gained a cult following.[1]

At first, Ween made many cassette albums. In 1990, the band joined a small record label, and released two albums: GodWeenSatan: The Oneness (1990) and The Pod (1991). The band joined Elektra Records, and released Pure Guava (1992). The album had a single named "Push th' Little Daisies". It was popular in the United States and Australia.[2] The band released four albums with Elektra Records: Chocolate and Cheese (1994); 12 Golden Country Greats (1996); The Mollusk (1997); and White Pepper (2000). They left Elektra Records, and made Quebec (2003) and La Cucaracha (2007).

Freeman left the band in 2012. He wanted to focus on his drug addiction problems. The band came together again in 2015. They played music at many concerts.[3] As of 2023, they have not made any new music.[4]
